Medicine Hat Water Polo Association

The MHWPA is an Alberta registered Not-for-Profit Society to support Water Polo in Cypress County, Brooks and Taber. It operates as a separate administrative branch from the MHWP Club itself, focusing on events, administration and compliance, club / parent liaison, and discipline committee for matters not requiring provinicial oversight.
Fundraising / Fees
MHWP has traditionally been a non-fundraising program, and that will not change for casual players. The Association will evaluate fundraising options as they are presented for specific events or opportunities, and the overall goal will be for fundraising to be optional, not required.
Fees are currently set at $5 per playing participant per 1/3 of the season (Fall / Winter / Spring).
Annual General Meeting
While the Association was created early in 2020, with the intent of going live for the 2020-21 season, there was no 2020-21 season. Our first AGM is scheduled for November 19th 2021, Family Leisure Center, 7:30pm. In future seasons, the plan will be for mid-October.
Bylaws
While we have not adopted an official version of the bylaws, we do have a conceptial foundation to be officially adopted after our first Executive Board is elected.
